1st Skopje International Conference in Communication Studies

The Case of South-Eastern Europe 1990 - 2007

The New York University Skopje is very proud to announce an International 3-day conference entitled (G)Local Media in Transition - The Case of South-Eastern Europe 1990 – 2007. This exciting and far-reaching subject is certain to attract a host of local, national and international interest. Topics will include:

- The Public’s Confidence in the Media

- Journalists as Political Actors

- Chances, Trials and Tribulations of On-line Journalism and Blogs.

- What was/is the role of Transitional Countries’ Media in reinforcing Democracy?
